The HALO-LED is the newer version of RGF's in-duct purifier. It does the same job as the REME HALO, treating the air in every room from inside your ductwork, but it uses LEDs instead of a UV lamp.
That change matters in a few practical ways. There's no mercury in it. A built-in airflow switch turns it on and off with your blower, so it isn't running when your system is idle. And the cell lasts much longer: about 4.5 years instead of 2.
What else it does
- Verified zero ozone to the UL 2998 standard.
- Self-cleaning ionizers with carbon-fiber brushes help with airborne particles.
- The catalyst is washable and meant to last the life of the unit.
- Replacement cell: PHIC-REME-LED.
